Spyware

Spyware is a very powerful virus threat for all computer users. Beyond our imagination it performs very destructive actions. As spyware is a word mentioning spying something, so it is spying our computers. It is a type of software. Nobody likes to be spied on. It is a type of malware which collects small information about our computer. We are not aware of this software and it is very difficult to detect it. But few spywares are also used for the purpose of monitoring the users like keyloggers. These are installed by the owner to get the knowledge of what is happening on the computer if some other users are using it. The action of spyware is not only a simple monitoring the computer but the functionality of it is beyond it. Rather than collecting all the information like emails, social networking chatting etc, it can also possible to install the additional soft-wares on the computer by spyware. The change of computer settings is a very common action of spyware. Rather than this, slow speed of computer is also a reason of spyware. If we talk about the Problems in internet connection and problems in the functionality of the soft-wares, these can be a cause of spyware. One more thing is there so called data collection tools. But we can’t mix these tools with spyware. Because data collection tools get the data from the computer but in the supervision only. Computer Spyware can enter in the system (or computer) by many means. It can be installed in the system along with the installation of the other useful software. We use to download a number of software from internet. These are freeware or shareware software. So, when we use to install the software in our system, Spyware also install along with it. Then, it causes the bandwidth loss, and other useful information loss. It is very difficult to find the spyware. Usually, when the system’s performance goes to down, we use to think some hardware failure, window issue or some other infection. Few of the users think to buy the new computer because of the slow performance of the existing computer. But the slow performance is just because of a malware called spyware. So it is very necessary for us to have knowledge of spyware and how to remove the spyware. There are a number of ways or techniques to counteract it. We have only two methods to prevent from spyware, either block the spyware or remove it. There are a lot of released products to block or remove spyware from the system so called Anti-Spyware software. This software searches the windows registry and installed files of operating system. If any of the file’s content matches with the list of known spyware components, then it removes files or entries from the system. We can protect our system from spyware by installing Anti spyware software on the system. It will scan the downloaded files before installation so that no spyware can affect our system.
